about

'Was there a time..?' is an instrumental mini-album with duration of 20 minutes.
Some of the work has been around for a while, but it seems to sit happily and dovetail with the new material. I have a feeling that it is the start of a new collection of work which will either belong to an ambient or cinematic genre. After this strangest of years for all of us, I don't feel it is quite the time to fly to the next level right now. I wanted to get some work out there, however repressive the current climate, and I hope what you discover here gives comfort and inspiration. Thanks, as ever, for dropping by. John Mayfield.

NB: Although the art work for the sleeve was used before on the single track 'Hush', I thought the brilliance of it justified replication in this instance. Thank You, as ever, Keith Stringer of the Hebrides for all your brilliance and endless patience.
